We provide informational products on each donor profile to help clients learn as much as possible about their potential donor in their decision process, from full audio interviews, health histories, and photos.
Some of the information is free to access, while other additional information is can be purchased a la carte. Prices for these paid donor products range between $9 - $95.

Donor Sperm Vials
Fees are donor-specific and vary depending on the donor's category and vial preparation type. To see your specific donor's vial fees, scroll to the lower right side of the donor profile to the Order Sperm box.
Typical costs for each vial fall between roughly $1,195 - $1,895. Depending on your family planning goals and your physician's recommendation, many clients purchase multiple vials at once.
Shipping
When placing your order, you have several shipping options to pick from, depending on the timing of your ART procedure.
For FedEx shipments within the US, you'll spend roughly $290 -$360 per container, with additional fees for rush shipments. Outside the US, fees range between $280 -$690.
Storage
Fairfax Cryobank provides top-notch storage of donor sperm for clients who purchase extra vials to save for future ART procedures or siblings down the road. Our storage services are also used by those who need to bank their sperm, oocytes, or embryos personally.
Storage costs $45 a month per account, regardless of the number of vial stored with us.
Genetic Testing
If a client has concerns about their family's medical history possibly interfering with the donor's genetic disease carrier status, we recommend preconception genetic carrier testing through a third-party testing facility. Most insurance plans will cover the testing costs, but if not, they range from $300 - $500 out of pocket.
Artificial Insemination Costs
Working with your physician, select the ART (artificial reproductive technology) insemination procedure option that makes the most sense for you. Fees associated with these ART procedures will vary by clinic, your location, insurance coverage, financing, etc.
Home Insemination
If you are able to do home insemination, it can be a relatively low-cost option compared to other ART procedures with more medical costs. However, due to the success rate being only 10% - 15%, some clients may need to purchase additional vials, adding to the total.
Fairfax Cryobank will provide a syringe at no extra cost, if requested when placing the order. Some clients choose to buy additional items to improve the positive pregnancy outcome, such as an ovulation kit, specimen applicator, and cervical cap, etc.
Home insemination with donor sperm costs include:
- Sperm vial(s)
- Shipping/handling
Intracervical Insemination (ICI) or Intrauterine Insemiantion (IUI)
While both IUI and ICI procedures are done at a medical office, ICI is generally slightly less expensive due to the less complicated procedure.
- Sperm vial(s)
- Shipping/handling
- Doctor office fees
IVF
Because IVF is more invasive, it is typically the most expensive ART procedure. IVF cycle costs vary based on your clinic, location, insurance, etc. On average, a cycle could cost anywhere between $10,000 - $30,000, not including extra genetic testing, medications, or the frozen embryo transfer.
