Many women have already had an expanded panel of genetic conditions tested as part of their pre-pregnancy work–up. Upwards of 85% will find they are carriers of 1 or more genetic conditions. For clients who are known genetic carriers, we offer many donors tested with an expanded panel of genetic conditions, and there is a good chance we will have a donor that is tested negative you can use immediately.
To make sure you're choosing a compatible donor, use these tools to help you find the best match.
Option 1 - Donors with Expanded Panel Genetic Testing
Donors with expanded panel genetic testing have between 280 and 500+ genes tested depending on when they started in the program. There is likely to be a donor tested negative for the same gene/condition you are a carrier for and therefore be a suitable match for you. Donors presented may be carriers of other genes, and it is equally important to check that you are tested and negative for those genes before using him. Different genetic testing labs offer slightly different lists of genes and/or conditions on their panels.
Please note that not all donors have an expanded panel genetic test, as it was only introduced in 2018.

Option 3 - Suitability Match
When you are ready to move forward with your preferred donor, our Genetic Counselor is available to compare your testing results to the donor’s results. If there is a situation that needs to be addressed, we can let you know the next steps. Suitability matches can also be done through your clinic, using your testing results and the donor’s genetic testing results available as a download on his web page.
